Taking a highway as an example,this paper explores the design and construction method of subgrade fill based on the overall stiffness of subgrade.Based on the principle of layered filling,high liquid limit soil is used in the lower embankment,5%cement+high liquid limit soil is used in the upper embankment,4%cement+high liquid limit soil is used in the lower road bed,and silty soil sand is used in the road bed.A 400 m long test section is selected,and the original and new schemes are used to fill and use respectively,and the subgrade compaction degree under the two schemes is compared.The results show that the average compaction degree of each measuring point under the new scheme is higher than that of the original scheme,and the original scheme can only be qualified after one additional compaction.It can be concluded that the subgrade filling scheme designed in this paper can improve the overall stiffness of the subgrade,and has a good effect of reducing the number of rolling passes,saving time and cost.
