Tensile Behavior of CFRP Single-Lap Bolted Joint Under Combined Effects of Moisture Absorption and Preload
The tensile performance of carbon fiber reinforced polymer(CFRP)single-lap bolted joint under wet environment and preload conditions is studied in this paper.Through moisture absorption test, tensile test and finite element simulation, the main findings are:(1)The moisture absorption of CFRP bolted joints is not significantly affected by the preload level.(2)The structural strength of the joints increases with the preload level in both dry and wet states, within the range of 0 kN to 2 kN.(3)The stress distribution of the joints is not noticeably altered by the wet environment. The results of this study can provide guidance for the design and application of CFRP bolted joints in wet environment.
