Engineering Application Analysis of Foam Asphalt Cold Recycling as Pavement Base
Asphalt pavement generates a large amount of waste materials during daily maintenance and expansion construction.Due to the presence of asphalt in the old materials,treating them as garbage can pollute the environment.Therefore,recycling these old materials not only reduces environmental pollution but also reduces material consumption.The application of regeneration technology is an important means to achieve sustainable development of highways.The current regulations divide the regeneration methods of asphalt pavement into five types:plant mixed hot regeneration,on-site geothermal regeneration,plant mixed cold regeneration,on-site cold regeneration,and full depth cold regeneration.In this paper,the application of foam asphalt in situ cold recycling technology in engineering practice is described and analyzed in detail.
