Effect of Polypropylene Fiber on Mechanical Strength of Cement Concrete with Recycled Aggregate
In order to improve the mechanical properties of cement concrete mixed with recycled aggre-gate,polypropylene fiber was used to modify it.The effects of polypropylene fiber on the compressive strength, flexural tensile strength, splitting tensile strength and elastic modulus of cement concrete with differ-ent recycled aggregate contents were studied. The results show that with the increase of polypropylene fiber content, the mechanical indexes of recycled concrete increase first and then decrease. When the fiber content is 0.3%,the strength of concrete reaches the peak value, and the mechanical strength is increased by at least 11%.With the addition of recycled aggregate, the strength degradation of the interface between recy-cled aggregate and cement stone leads to the gradual decrease of the mechanical strength of concrete.
