Finite Element Model of Floating Spline Contact and Study of Misaligned Contact Characteristics
The finite element modelling of the floating spline is carried out to analyze the influence of dif-ferent torque and different tooth side clearances on the contact characteristics of the aviation spline.The re-sults showed that the Mises stress,tooth surface pressure and deformation of splines increased approximately linearly with the increase of torque.Mises stress of splines with large tooth side clearance increased rapidly with the increase of misalignment angle.The effects of side clearance on the Mises stress and pressure of the spline were nonlinear changes.
