The 2# main pier of a super large bridge on a certain expressway is located in deep water.In order to carry out pier construction,a comparison of cofferdam schemes was first conducted.After selecting the lock buckle steel pipe pile cofferdam scheme,a specialized design was carried out for the lock buckle steel pipe pile cofferdam,and a model was established to verify it,ultimately achieving successful implementation.The implementation of the 2# main pier cap of the bridge shows that the plan is practical and feasible,with a cost savings of 35.84％and a construction period savings of 15.17％.
