Design and Application Research of 60 GHz Microstrip Patch Antenna in the Medical Equipment Field
This paper designs and simulates millimetre-wave antennas, evaluating the simulation results of these two 60 GHz microstrip patch antennas. The return loss of both antennas is below-10 dB,with the improved 60 GHz patch antenna exhibiting higher gain and a wider bandwidth.Subsequently,a physical prototype of the enhanced antenna with better performance is fabricated through traditional low-cost printed circuit board etching methods for practical performance testing.Due to the compact structure, high bandwidth, high data rates, and low power consumption characteristics of millimeter-wave antennas, their applications are more extensive. For instance,in the field of medical devices, portable painless blood glucose monitors can be developed. Therefore, this paper designs simulates, and manufactures a 60 GHz microstrip patch antenna, using it to measure the impact of the skin on the S11 parameter.
