Application of 3D Laser Scanning in Underground Caves
Accurate measurement of underground caverns has always been a difficult problem due to their low visibility, diverse spatial structures and complex environments.Three-dimensional laser scanning technolo-gy can accurately obtain the three-dimensional point cloud data on the surface of the object in a non-contact way,and after processing,it can establish the three-dimensional spatial data model of the object. This paper takes a karst landscape underground cave project as an example, describes the 3D laser scanning technology in the underground cave measurement measurement principle, data processing methods, workflow, establishes the overview map of the main line of the cave,three-dimensional side,profile,three-dimensional modeling of the stalactites, which completely reproduces the spatial model of the cave. Finally, the advantages and appli-cation scope of 3D laser scanning technology in underground cave measurement are summarized, and it is hoped that it will give a certain reference to similar engineering projects.
