Study on the Influence of Initial Water Content and Cement Mixing Ratio on the Shear Strength of Cement-soil
The dry jet mixing pile has been widely used for strengthening collapsible loess foundation in many engineering projects. In order to better master the mechanical parameters of pile body, the influence of initial water content and cement mixing ratio on the shear strength of cement-soil were analyzed based on the direct shear test in the laboratory. The investigations indicated that the shear strength of cement-soil increased with the increase of initial water content when initial water content was less than the optimal water content for soil, then decreased when initial water content was higher than the optimal water content for soil;the shear strength of cement-soil increased with the increase of cement mixing ratio. The laboratory results in this study provide important guideline for in-situ ground improvement by dry jet mixing pile in collapsible loess regions.
