The Impact on Vegetation Ecological Environment From the Construction of the China-Nepal Transportation Corridor
This study examines the impact of China-Nepal transportation corridor construction on Fraction of Vegetation Cover(FVC),a key indicator for evaluating transportation infrastructure's ecological effects on vegetation.Data from 1992 to 2022 were analyzed using the GEE platform.Natural and road factors affecting vegetation were compared using geographic detectors.Findings show a 17%decrease in vegetation cover before 2005,followed by an upward trend peaking in 2020.Vegetation cover trended downward then upward with road distance, suggesting varied human impacts under natural constraints.Geographic detectors highlight natural factors as primary drivers of vegetation cover, with road distance having a minor influence. These results emphasize natural conditions'dominant role in vegetation ecology and offer a scientific basis for environmental improvements.
