Influence of Brick Powder on Mechanical Strength of Cement Concrete
In order to study the effect of brick powder on the construction performance of cement con crete,the brick powder was crushed and screened.The particle size was divided into two types:0 mm~0.15 mm and 0.15 mm~4.75 mm.According to the different content of brick powder,five test groups of CB-5,CB-10,CR-10,CR-20 and CR-30 and NC control group were prepared.The effects of two different particle sizes of brick powder and their content on the workability and mechanical strength of cement con crete were studied respectively.The results show that the concrete slump of CB-5 and CB-10 specimens is basically not affected by the content of brick powder,while the concrete slump of CR-10,CR-20 and CR-30 specimens decreases gradually.With the increase of brick powder content in CB-5 and CB-10 specimens,the mechanical strength of concrete increases gradually.When the brick powder content is 10%,the com pressive strength,tensile strength and flexural strength of concrete increase by 12.0%,4.1%and 9.1%respectively.With the increase of brick powder content in CR-10,CR-20 and CR-30 specimens,the me chanical strength of concrete increases first and then decreases.When the brick powder content is 20%,the compressive strength,tensile strength and flexural strength of concrete increase by 6.5%,5.3%and 4.5%respectively.
