A Two-period Coordinated Control Method for Continuous T-intersection Based on AM-BAND Model
Traffic road conditions are complex and diverse, and the optimization method of trunk coordination control can be improved according to the actual road problems. In order to optimize the traffic conditions of continuous T-intersections during peak hours, this study improved the model based on the traditional AM-BAND model and combined with the two-cycle coordinated control theory.Taking Ganjiangzhong Avenue,Honggutan District,Nanchang City as an example, the coordinated control scheme was optimized by using the model, and the coordinated control scheme before and after the improvement was verified by simulation.By comparing the evaluation index data, the total delay of the trunk line was reduced by 16.78%,the average delay was reduced by 21.48%,the total number of stops was reduced by 27.93%,and the average number of stops was reduced by 31.78%.The improved two-cycle coordinated control model effectively optimizes the traffic conditions of continuous T-intersections,which greatly reduces the road congestion during peak hours and enables vehicles to pass more smoothly.
