The Evolution of Spiral Waves in Non-uniform Excited Media under the Action of Periodic Potential Field
In this paper, the FitzHugh-Nagumo model is used to simulate the evolution of spiral waves in inhomogeneous excitable media under the action of periodic potential fields. With the change of the intensity and frequency of the external field, the spiral wave in the medium will change to a great extent.Under the influence of weak field, the edge of the spiral wave is damaged and a new spiral wave is formed, and a spiral wave still dominates the system. With the increase of external field intensity, two main helical waves dominate the system at high frequency. When a strong field is applied, the spiral wave of the system is completely changed. At high frequencies, the spiral wave phenomenon in the system completely disappears.
