基于透明导电氧化物的小尺寸TE通起偏器

提出了一种紧凑的、宽带大、低损耗的TE通偏振器,利用覆在条形波导中心的透明导电氧化物(TCO)实现,并对其进行了详细分析.通过将这种TCO材料引入条形波导中,可以实现巨大的偏振依赖性,能够使得当前偏振器的长度大大降低.此外,应用顶部金属层来进一步提高偏振器的性能.结果表明,在1.55 μm处,消光比为14.3 dB,插入损耗为0.58 dB.
Small-size TE-pass Polarizer Based on Transparent Conductive Oxide
A compact,broadband,low-loss TE-polarized polarizer is proposed,which is realized by a transparent conductive oxide(TCO)film deposited on the center of a rectangular waveguide.The performance of the proposed polarizer is analyzed in detail.By introducing this TCO material into the rectangular waveguide,a polarization-dependent response can be achieved,allowing the length of the current polarizer to be greatly reduced.Furthermore,the performance of the polarizer can be further improved by applying a top metal layer.The results show that at 1.55 µm,the extinction ratio is 14.3 dB and the insertion loss is 0.58 dB.
