Small-size TE-pass Polarizer Based on Transparent Conductive Oxide
A compact,broadband,low-loss TE-polarized polarizer is proposed, which is realized by a transparent conductive oxide(TCO)film deposited on the center of a rectangular waveguide. The performance of the proposed polarizer is analyzed in detail.By introducing this TCO material into the rectangular waveguide,a polarization-dependent response can be achieved, allowing the length of the current polarizer to be greatly reduced.Furthermore, the performance of the polarizer can be further improved by applying a top metal layer. The results show that at 1.55 µm,the extinction ratio is 14.3 dB and the insertion loss is 0.58 dB.
