Effects of different feeding frequencies on the growth performance of juvenile hybrid sturgeon under flow-through culture mode
In order to investigate the effects of different feeding frequencies on the growth performance of juvenile hybrid sturgeon under the flow pond culture mode, with a view to providing reference for hybrid sturgeon flow pond culture. In this experiment,480 juvenile hybrid sturgeon with healthy body condition and neat specification with in-itial weight of(6±1.13)g were selected. They were randomly divided into four groups, each with three replicates and 40 fishes in each replicate group. The feeding frequency was 2 times/d for test group 1,3 times/d for test group 2,4 times/d for test group 3 and 5 times/d for test group 4.The pre-test was conducted for 1 week and the test period was 10 weeks. The results showed that the growth rate, survival rate and feeding rate of test group 2,test group 3 and test group 4 were higher than that of test group 1,with no significant difference(P>0.05);the growth rate and specific growth rate of test group 3 and test group 4 were significantly higher than that of test group 1 and test group 2(P<0.05);and the bait coefficient of test group 3 and test group 4 were significantly lower than that of test group 1(P<0.05).The results of this study showed that different feeding frequencies under the flow-through aquaculture mode had different effects on the growth of juvenile hybrid sturgeon, among which the feeding frequency of 4 times/d could improve the growth performance of juvenile hybrid sturgeon, which can be popularized and applied in the aquaculture process of hybrid sturgeon.
