Effects of different levels of Bacillus subtilis on immunity of Litopenaeus van-namei
In order to explore the effects of different levels of Bacillus subtilis on the nonspecific immunity of the organ-ism of Litopenaeus vannamei,600 healthy Litopenaeus vannamei weighing about 0.45 g were selected for this experi-ment,which were divided into four groups of three replicates each according to a one-way experimental design, with each replicate of each group was divided into four groups with three replicates, each with 50 shrimps. Each group was fed a basal diet containing 0%(control),0.5%,1.0%and 1.5%Bacillus subtilis, respectively. After 8 weeks of feeding, blood was collected and tested for serum non-specific immunity indexes. The results showed that lysozyme, alkaline phosphatase, acid phosphatase, and phenoloxidase activities were significantly higher(P<0.05)in the ser-um of Litopenaeus vannamei in test group 2 compared with the control group, and catalase and superoxide dismutase activities were significantly higher(P<0.05)in the serum of Litopenaeus vannamei in both test group 2 and test group 3.The study showed that the addition of a certain dose of Bacillus subtilis in the production of Litopenaeus vannamei culture can improve the non-specific immunity of the organism, and the appropriate amount is 1.0%.
