The establishment of regional fishery cooperation mechanism in the South Chi-na Sea from the perspective of international law
The establishment of regional fishery cooperation mechanism in the South China Sea faces many obstacles due to the long-term disputes over territorial sovereignty and maritime limits,the defects of the United Nations Con-vention on the Law of the Sea system,and the weak legal basis of fishery law enforcement cooperation.At present,the fishery resources in the South China Sea are in a period of decline,and the domestic and foreign fishery devel-opment environment is not stable enough.The establishment of regional cooperation mechanism is of great signifi-cance to the sustainable development of the fishery economy in the South China Sea.From the perspective of inter-national law,this paper analyzes the main problems of fishery in the South China Sea,and further explains the ne-cessity and feasibility of regional cooperation mechanism of fishery in the South China Sea.Finally,starting from the idea of building the South China Sea fishery cooperation mechanism,it provides some directions for the develop-ment of regional cooperative economy in the South China Sea.
