Effects of different LED light sources on the growth, development and photo-synthetic physiology of the thallus of Neopyropia sp.
A new kind of laver(Neopyropia sp.)was cultured under 5 different LED light sources, and various val-ues were measured to explore which LED light source would promote the growth and photosynthesis of this new kind of laver. The content of phycobilin in thallus of this new porphyra was significantly higher under blue light and white light treatment than under red light and green light treatment. The content of chlorophyll a and carotenoid un-der red and white light treatment were significantly higher than those under blue and green light treatment.Under blue light irradiation, the rETRmax reaches the maximum relative electron transfer rate(rETRmax),green light is the lowest,Fv/Fm has no significant difference, and NPQ is the highest under blue light and the lowest under or-ange light.Exploring the effects of different LED light on the growth and photosynthetic physiology of the thallus of this new species can provide basic information for the future development and utilization of this new species.
