Dual Effects of Human Activities and Global Warming on Permafrost Environment
The effects of climate warming, surface engineering activities and land use change on permafrost environment were further discussed by reviewing the distribution, characteristics and degradation trend of permafrost in the world. At present, under the dual impact of human activities and climate warming, the destruction of ecosystems, the change of water resources and the increase of geological disasters have also posed a threat to the safety of drinking water and infrastructure in villages and towns, and posed a severe challenge to regional and even global environmental security. The paper emphasizes the urgency of adopting effective environmental protection measures and climate adaptation strategies, aiming to provide scientific basis and recommendations for policy makers and researchers to mitigate and adapt to these changes.
