Pharmacological study of Lonicera caerulea L.polyphenols in protecting function of liver and kidney
This paper aimed to investigate the protective effect of Lonicera caerulea L.polyphenols extract on acute liver and kidney injury induced by carbon tetrachloride(CCl4)and cisplatin in mice,providing theoretical basis for the development and clinical application of indigo naturalis-related health products.The animal models of liver injury induced by CCl4 and kidney injury induced by cisplatin in mice were selected,and Lonicera caerulea L.polyphenols extract was orally administered.Changes in tissue morphology,organ index,liver and kidney function indicators,and oxidative stress indicators in mouse serum were detected among all groups.Results showed that compared with the model group,Lonicera caerulea L.polyphenols extract could reduce the degree of tissue damage in liver and kidney injury mice,improve liver and kidney pathological features,regulate liver and kidney-related functions,and increase antioxidant indicators.Therefore,Lonicera caerulea L.polyphenols extract has a protective effect on the liver and kidney and is of great significance for the development and clinical application of health products.
