This paper analyzed the causes of corrosion in stainless steel pipeline of HDPE plant,checked the liquid at the corrosion site and finally determined it was Cl-corrosion which also caused the problems such as leakage of heating steam pipe of dryer and leakage of water cooler due to the technological characteristics.Therefore,preventive measures to prevent Cl-corrosion were proposed,such as,the use of more corrosion-resistant metal materials in the design,enhancement of leakage management,the use of inorganic anti-corrosion coatings,etc.,which got the good effect on application,to ensure the stable production of HDPE plant.
