Research progress on the polymerization of propylene into low carbon olefins
Abstact:This paper presents the latest research progress in the low-degree polymerization of propylene, encompassing di-propyl-ene,tri-propylene,and tetra-propylene.A key disparity between research into propylene di-polymerization and propylene tri-/tet-ra-polymerization lies in their respective target products:while propylene di-polymerization selectively yields specific structural propylene di-polymers,propylene tri-/tetra-polymerization generates polymers with higher carbon numbers. However, due to limita-tions in analytical techniques for high-carbon-number olefin isomers,it remains challenging to ascertain the precise structure of these polymers or adjust catalyst selectivity deliberately.Future directions for research into propylene oligomerization involve fur-ther enhancing catalyst selectivity and stability, reducing reaction temperatures and pressures, and developing more efficient catalyt-ic systems.
