Research progress on the synthesis of bio-based derivative 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid
Biomass based platform compound 2,5-Furandicarboxylic acid(FDCA)has a high application prospect,which has been widely used in petrochemical industry,anti-tumor drugs,high-performance environmental protection coatings,synthesis of new polymers and other fields.5-hydroxymethyl furfura(HMF)has been widely regarded as the best raw material for preparing FDCA due to its advantages of cheap,easy to obtain and stable chemical properties.This paper reviewed the recent progress in the synthesis of FDCA by catalytic oxidation of HMF,introduced the research progress of metal catalysts in heterogeneous systems,summarized the related researches on non-metallic catalysts,photocatalytic systems and electrocatalytic systems,discussed system-atically the advantages and disadvantages of preparation of FDCA by HMF under different reaction catalysts,and finally discussed the challenges of catalytic oxidation from HMF to FDCA and proposed the possible research directions in the future.
