Analysis of hydrological and geographical division in Erguna River basin
The Erguna River is an important boundary river between China and Russia and one of the two sources of the Heilongjiang(Amur)River, which flows through China,Russia and Mongolia, and has an important impact on the water rights allocation issues among the three countries and the amount of water resources in the Heilongjiang(Amur)River. In order to study the characteristics of the hydrographic distribution of the Erguna River basin, based on the 30m digital surface model, combined with administrative divisions, atlases and other data, the Erguna River basin is divided into three zones based on administration, surface water and groundwater, and the distribution of water resources in the basin is analysed. The Erguna River basin flows through 10 administrative districts in China,Russia and Mongolia, and is divided into 6 surface water zones and 3 groundwater zones based on surface runoff characteristics and groundwater storage characteristics.Coupled with the three factors, the Erguna River basin is divided into 17 subzones, with the largest number of subzones, the widest area of the basin, and a variety of groundwater types distributed in China. In order to coordinate the water resources management of the whole basin, the sustainable development of the basin will be enhanced by the sustainable development of the basin in order to strengthen the ecological, socioeconomic, and sustainable development of the transboundary countries, with the main focus on the territory of China, and with the supplementary focus on the territory of Russia and Mongolia.By planning and zoning the water resources of the Erguna River basin from a basin-wide perspective,it will provide a reference for the management of water resources of the Erguna River and similar transboundary rivers based on the allocation of regional characteristics and research methods.
