Research progress on impact of roughage length on production and rumen environment of adult mutton sheep
Rumination is a special digestive behavior of adult mutton sheep,and the length of roughage intake can directly affect the digestion,absorption and utilization of adult mutton sheep.Therefore,the selection of appropriate roughage length in the production process of adult mutton sheep breeding is of great significance for the rational utilization of roughage and the production performance of adult mutton sheep.In this paper,the effects of roughage type and roughage length on feeding,rumen development,internal environment and production performance of adult mutton sheep were reviewed,aiming to provide a theoretical reference for screening suitable roughage length in adult mutton sheep production.
