Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of self-proposed gouty powder combined with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation in the treatment of acute-phase gouty arthritis with damp-heat stagnation. Methods:From the patients with acute-phase gouty arthritis admitted to Wucun Orthopaedic Hospital during the period of June 2021-May 2023,118 patients who met the study inclusion criteria were selected as the study subjects, and were divided into two groups of 59 cases according to the principle of comparability of baseline data between groups. In the control group, patients were treated with meloxicam tablets according to the conventional western medical treatment plan, while in the study group, patients were supplemented with self-proposed gout dispersal and traditional Chinese medicine fumigation;the clinical therapeutic effect was evaluated with the Chinese medicine symptom score, and the changes in the levels of serological indexes, such as blood uric acid(UA),blood sedimentation rate(ESR),C-reactive protein(CRP),and superoxide dismutase(SOD),were detected in the pre-treatment and post-treatment periods of the patients. Results:After 1 course of treatment, the total effective rate of treatment in the study group(91.53%)was higher than that in the control group(77.97%),the TCM symptom score was lower than that in the control group, and the levels of UA,ESR,and CRP were lower than that in the control group, while the level of SOD was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The treatment of acute-phase gouty arthritis with damp-heat stagnation combined with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation can better improve the clinical symptoms and inflammation level of patients and enhance the clinical effect.
