Objective:To analyze the effectiveness of applying a prospective nursing intervention model in pediatric nursing.Method:148 children who were treated in the Department of Pediatrics of Xinglin Branch of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University from May 2022 to April 2023 were randomly selected and divided into the control group(n=74)and the observation group(n=74)by random number table. The nursing intervention modes used were routine nursing intervention mode and prospective nursing intervention mode, respectively. The nursing compliance, total incidence of nursing adverse events, nursing satisfaction of family members, and total incidence of complications were compared between the two groups.Result:The total compliance of the control group and the observation group was 86.49%and 95.95%respectively.The observation group had significantly higher nursing compliance for children(x2=4.132,P<0.05).The total incidence of nursing adverse events in the control group and the observation group was 13.51%and 2.70%respectively,indicating a significantly lower incidence of nursing adverse events in the observation group(x2=4.444,P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction of the family members of the control group and the observation group were 89.19%and 98.65%respectively.The observation group had significantly higher nursing service satisfaction among the family members of the children(x2=4.259,P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the control group and the observation group were 9.46%and 4.05%respectively.There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups of children(x2=0.965,P>0.05).Conclusion:The application of prospective nursing intervention model in pediatric nursing is beneficial for improving treatment compliance of children, reducing nursing adverse events and related complications, and significantly improving nursing satisfaction of family members of children.
