Objective:To investigate the therapeutic effect of ambroxol on neonatal pneumonia based on piperacillin sodium and tazobactam sodium..Methods:A total of 160 neonates with pneumonia were randomly divided into control group(80 cases)and observation group(80 cases),and was treated with piperacillin sodium and tazobactam sodium, ambroxol combined with piperacillin sodium and tazobactam sodium respectively. Both groups were treated continuously for 7 days. The treatment effects of the two groups were evaluated. The improvement time of symptoms and the levels of serum C-reactive protein(CRP),procalcitonin(PCT)and white blood cell count(WBC)were compared between the two groups, and the adverse reactions were observed. Results:The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group(92.50%)was higher comparing with the control group(80.00%)(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the disappearance time of fever, cough, shortness of breath and pulmonary rales in the observation group was shortened(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of serum CRP,PCT and WBC in the observation group were lower comparing with the control group(P<0.05).Moreover,the incidence of adverse reactions was compared between the two groups and there was not statistically different(P>0.05).Conclusion:Ambroxol combined with piperacillin sodium and tazobactam sodium in the treatment of neonatal pneumonia can promote the improvement of symptoms, reduce serum CRP,PCT and WBC levels, with good curative effect and no increase in adverse reactions.
