Study on the Thermal Insulation Performance of Papermaking Fibers/Polyvinyl Alcohol-borax Composite Foam
Papermaking fibers/polyvinyl alcohol-borax composite foam was constructed using paper-making fibers and polyvinyl alcohol as the main raw materials, and the thermal insulation performance of the foam was investigated with the help of dynamic covalent cross-linking between polyvinyl alcohol and borax. The result showed that the thermal conductivity was 0.021 W/(m·K)at room tempera-ture,which exhibited excellent thermal insulation performance and had the potential to replace tradi-tional petroleum-based foam.
