Summary of the best evidence for the prevention and management of device-related pressure injury in orthopedic patients
Objective To summarize the best evidence for the prevention and management of orthopedic device-related pressure inju-ry,and to provide references for clinical nursing practice.Methods According to the"6S"model,a literature search was conducted on websites and databases for literature on prevention and management of orthopedic device-related pressure injury,both domesti-cally and internationally.The search timeframe was from database inception to February 2024.After completing quality evaluation of included literature,relevant evidence was summarized one by one in combination with professional knowledge.Results A total of 11 articles were included,including 4 guidelines,4 expert consensus reports,2 systematic reviews,and 1 evidence summary re-ports.A total of 39 pieces of best evidence were summarized into six aspects:skin,surface,keep moving,incontinence,nutrition,and self-care.Conclusion The summarized evidence can be used to prevent device-related pressure injury in orthopedic patients,and medical staff need to better apply and translate the evidence based on clinical context and patient opinions.
