Study on the positive perceptions of caregivers of acute leukemia patients and influencing factors
Objective To investigate the positive perceptions of caregivers of hospitalized acute leukemia patients and an-alyze the influencing factors.Methods Convenience sampling was used to select 161 caregivers of acute leukemia patients from the First Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang University School of Medicine from April to December 2022.A questionnaire survey was conducted using general information questionnaire,Positive Aspects of Caregiver Scale,Social Support Rating Scale,Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire,and Zarit Burden Inventory.Results A total of 161 questionnaires were dis-tributed,and 150 valid questionnaires were included after excluding ineffective ones.The positive perception score of 150 caregivers of acute leukemia patients was(28.39±7.67),the total social support score was(37.55±8.11),the posi-tive coping style score was(18.76±7.64),the negative coping style score was(12.05±5.65),and the total caregiver bur-den score was(26.33±10.22).Multivariate linear regression analysis results showed that household per capita monthly in-come(t=2.127,P=0.035),patient treatment duration(t=2.728,P=0.007),caregiver social support(t=4.698,P<0.001),and positive coping style(t=2.407,P=0.017)were influencing factors for positive perceptions of caregivers of a-cute leukemia patients,which explained 54.0%of the total variation.Conclusion The overall level of positive perceptions among caregivers of acute leukemia patients is low.Household per capita monthly income,patient treatment duration,care-giver social support,and positive coping style are factors influencing the positive perceptions of caregivers of acute leukemia patients.
