Sinicisation and reliability testing of the Nursing Work Interruption Scale
Objective To translate the Nursing Work Interruption Scale into Chinese and assess its reliability and validi-ty.Methods The Chinese version of the Nursing Work Interruption Scale was developed using Breslin's translation model,which included direct translation,back-translation,and cultural adjustment.A total of 132 nurses were selected through convenience sampling to test the reliability and validity of the scale.Results The Chinese version of the Nursing Work Inter-ruption Scale comprised 2 dimensions and 12 items.The content validity index of the Chinese version of the scale was 0.88,with item-level content validity index ranging from 0.625 to 1.000.The Cronbach's α coefficient for the total scale was 0.931,which for the human factor dimension was 0.891,and for the environmental factor dimension was 0.893.The split-half reliability was 0.856,and the test-retest reliability was 0.910.Conclusion The Chinese version of the Nursing Work Interruption Scale demonstrates good reliability and validity,making it suitable for assessing nursing work interruptions a-mong clinical nurses.
