Current status and influencing factors of discharge readiness in lung cancer patients undergoing immu-notherapy combined with chemotherapy
Objective To analyze the current status of discharge readiness in lung cancer patients undergoing immuno-therapy combined with chemotherapy and identify its influencing factors. Methods A total of 262 lung cancer patients who received immunotherapy combined with chemotherapy at the Cancer Hospital,Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Pe-king Union Medical College from February to March 2023 were selected by convenience sampling.Questionnaires were dis-tributed to patients before discharge. The general information questionnaire, the Readiness for Hospital Discharge Scale, the Quality of Discharge Teaching Scale, and the Fear of Progression Questionnaire-Short Form were used to investigate and analyze discharge readiness and its influencing factors. Results The total score of discharge readiness was(99.27±14.92).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that gender(t=-3.038,P=0.003),age(t=-2.651,P=0.009),history of lung radiotherapy(t=1.993,P=0.047),quality of discharge teaching(t=3.540,P<0.001),and fear of disease progression(t=-5.526,P<0.001)were significant influencing factors for discharge readiness in lung cancer patients undergoing im-munotherapy combined with chemotherapy. Conclusion The discharge readiness score of lung cancer patients undergoing immunotherapy combined with chemotherapy is relatively high.Male patients, those younger than 60 years old, those with-out a history of lung radiotherapy, those with high discharge teaching quality scores, and those with low fear of disease pro-gression scores tend to have higher discharge readiness.
