Study on the current status and influencing factors of fertility anxiety in patients of childbearing age after pituitary tumor surgery
Objective To investigate the current status of fertility anxiety in patients of childbearing age after pituitary tumor surgery and to analyze its influencing factors.Methods A total of 334 patients of childbearing age who underwent pi-tuitary tumor surgery in the neurosurgery department of a tertiary hospital in Zhejiang Province from January 2022 to May 2023 were selected as the study subjects by convenience sampling.A general information questionnaire,the Reproductive Concerns After Cancer Assessment Tool,the Fear of Progression Questionnaire-Short Form,and the Positive Psychological Capital Questionnaire were used to survey the patients.Univariate analysis,correlation analysis,and multiple linear regres-sion analysis were used to analyze the influencing factors of fertility anxiety in patients after pituitary tumor surgery.Results The total fertility anxiety score of patients of childbearing age after pituitary tumor surgery was(56.70±5.44).Regression analysis showed that the number of children,family per capita monthly income,disease type,fertility intention,fear of disease progression,and positive psychological capital entered the regression equation,the difference were statistical-ly significant(P<0.05),explaining 44.6%of the total variance.Conclusion Fertility anxiety in patients of childbearing age after pituitary tumor surgery is at a moderate level and is influenced by the number of children,family per capita month-ly income,disease type,fertility intention,fear of disease progression,and positive psychological capital.
