Simulation Analysis of LEO Space Target Monitoring Capability of Starlink Constellation
In view of the current situation of lack of quantitative analysis of LEO space target monitoring capability of the Starlink constellation, the analysis model of the Starlink constellation for the LEO space target monitoring capability is constructed, and a simulation test framework is designed, and the monitoring capability of the Starlink constellation facing the LEO space target within the orbital altitude of 200~1 200 km and the orbital inclination angle of 40°~100°is simulated and analyzed by using the Satellite Toolkit(STK)and MATLAB software.Based on the simulation data, the monitoring capabilities of LEO space targets under the two operating scenarios of Starlink constellation deployed at the present stage and the LEO constellation of the first phase of Starlink program are compared and analyzed. The influences of the number of satellites and the distribution of satellite orbits on the monitoring capabilities of LEO space targets are clarified, which provides the references for the subsequent and deep research on the monitoring of LEO space targets by Starlink constellation are provided.
