In the development of the air defense system of U.S.Navy fleet,the gridlocking systems played an irreplaceable role in the construction of the application of firecontrol level single integrated pic-ture(SIP).the concept,connotation,basic methods,and typical applications of the gridlocking systems are analyzed by recapitulatering the features of navy tactical data system,fleet anti-air warfare coordina-tion and other projects,and its cornerstone role in the development of the coordination air defense system of systems of US Navy is revealed.It has significant reference value for the transformation of the equip-ment technology of Chinese military.
