Research on the performance of rock breaking combustion agent with waste biomass
To explore the feasibility of replacing part of the aluminum powder with waste biomass in rock-breaking combustion agents, the functional performance and thermal decomposition properties of waste biomass rock-breaking combustion agents were studied. The external functional performance was tested using the ballis-tic projection method, and the thermal decomposition characteristics of waste biomass rock-breaking combustion agents were analyzed using DTA-TG technology. When the amount of waste peanut shell powder replaced 30%of aluminum powder, its external functional performance reached 52.6 J·g-1,an increase of 59%compared to the original formula. With the increase of temperature, biomass in the biomass rock-breaking combustion a-gent first undergoes pyrolysis, followed by the reaction of KNO3 with aluminum powder and waste biomass, and finally the reaction of KNO3 with the coke produced by the pyrolysis of biomass. The addition of waste biomass can improve the functional performance of the rock-breaking combustion agent, and the highest calorific value of peanut shell has the greatest improvement in functional performance. Moreover, the addition of peanut shell makes it more insensitive, and the initial decomposition temperature increases by 6.7℃,which not only im-proves the safety of the rock-breaking combustion agent, but also reduces the cost.
