Spatial accessibility of medical services in central urban area of Hefei City based on GIS
Equitable allocation of urban medical facilities and the provision of balanced health services are cru-cial for enhancing the quality of life of residents. In the case of Hefei's central urban area, this paper compre-hensively evaluated the accessibility and balance of urban medical facilities under different time thresholds by using GIS technology and improved potential model method under various travel modes, combined with Gini co-efficient and four-quadrant screening methods, and put forward suggestions for optimizing the medical service space in the central urban area of Hefei. Results indicate that the accessibility of medical facilities in the cen-tral urban area of Hefei varies significantly, with a general pattern of central concentration and periphery dis-persion.By identifying and analyzing the areas with lower accessibility,it is recommended to improve the Xing-lin Street Community Health Service Center, resulting in significant improvements in both accessibility and service efficiency.
