Research progress on mechanical properties and hydration products of alkali-activated solid waste
This paper reviews the current research status of the mechanical properties and hydration products of alkali-activated solid waste cementitious materials, and discusses their potential as low-carbon building materi-als in light of the high energy consumption and pollution associated with traditional Portland cement produc-tion.Taking common solid wastes such as blast furnace slag, steel slag, and fly ash as examples, the study ana-lyzes the effects of different alkali activators on the strength of these three types of solid waste;it also discusses the impact of curing conditions on the strength of alkali-activated solid waste.Furthermore, the structure and composition of the products from the three types of alkali-activated solid waste are examined from a microscopic testing perspective, providing insights into future research directions.
