The experimental research of effect of glucocorticoids'on asthma's control
Objective:To investigate the effect of glucocorticoid on asthma's control. Methods:Thirty rats were randomly divided into control group(group A),asthma group(group B)and dexamethasone group(group DXM),the clinical symptoms of the three groups were compared, the levels of eosinophil(EOS)in blood,IgE,VEGF,IL-4 and IFN-γ in serum among the three groups were studied, and lung tissues were taken for pathology. Results:Glucocorticoids can control asthma, the levels of IgE,EOS,VEGF,IL-4 and IFN-γ among group A,group B and group DXM were statistically significant(F=1 014.726,894.408,38.693,308.489 and 2 546.543,P<0.001);Compared group B with group A,the levels of IgE,EOS,VEGF and IL-4 were higher, the level of IFN-γ was lower(P<0.001);Compared group DXM with group B,the levels of IgE,EOS,VEGF and IL-4 were lower, the level of IFN-γ was higher(P<0.001);Compared group DXM with group A,the levels of IgE,EOS,VEGF and IL-4 were higher, the level of IFN-γ was lower(P<0.001).Pathological findings of the three groups of rat lung tissues showed that the airway remodeling and inflammatory changes were obvious in group B,and the airway remodeling and inflammatory changes were less in group DXM than in group B.Conclusion:Glucocorticoids can control asthma by up-regulating IFN-γ,down-regulating IgE,EOS,VEGF,IL-4,and reducing airway remodeling and inflammatory changes.
