Temporal and Spatial Variation of Population Density and Its Influencing Factors in Interprovincial Intersection Area:A Case Study of Yongcheng City
Under the background of the construction of metropolitan area and modern new city,the population in traditional agricultural areas has been moving out,which has formed the typical area and intensified area of local rural population loss.Taking Yongcheng City,a strong economic city with interprovincial intersection,as the research area,based on the census data,spatial autocorrelation and gravity shift methods were used to analyze the spatio-temporal variation characteristics of population density and the influencing factors.The findings were as follows:(1)From the perspective of spatial evolution,the population density of some towns and townships changed greatly in 2000,2010 and 2020,especially in the city center.Although the population of the downtown towns keeps rising,the population of Chengguan Town has decreased in the past ten years,while the population of Yanji Town nearby has increased rapidly,while the population of most other towns has decreased significantly in the past twenty years,and only a few towns have been returned.(2)From the perspective of spatial differentiation,there are some differences in the distribution of high and low values of population density and change units at village scale and town scale,showing obvious characteristics of fragmentation,but the study units at village scale and town scale show basically the same distribution pattern of high and low values.(3)From the perspective of spatial correlation,both population density and aging coefficient show obvious spatial agglomeration phenomenon,and the agglomeration degree is further strengthened with the scale refinement.From the change of center of gravity,the center of gravity of population density has an obvious spatial shift and gradually approaches Chengguan Town.(4)Through the analysis of geographically weighted regression and other factors,it is found that the per capita cultivated land area and other factors play a significant role in the spatio-temporal variation of population density,but a single economic contribution is difficult to have a significant impact on the population density.The difference of population density in Yongcheng City is mainly caused by the comprehensive effect of economic and social development,environmental location conditions,policies and other factors.
