The Influence of Urban Integration on the Spatial Expansion of Bank Branches in Non-core Cities:A Case Study of Kaifeng Urban Area
Taking the main urban area of Kaifeng City as an example, based on the POI data, using the average nearest neighbor index, kernel density and negative binomial regression, this paper analyzes the influence of city urbanization on the spatial expansion of bank branches in non-core cities. The results show that:(1)Under the influence of urbanization, the spatial expansion of bank branches in non-core cities has a significant direction, expanding to new districts and distributing along the main road of urban development.(2)The spatial expansion characteristics of different types of bank branches are different. The four major commercial banks are expanding outward based on the original agglomeration centers, regional commercial banks are expanding most significantly into new urban areas, postal savings banks and rural commercial banks are relatively dispersed, and joint-stock commercial banks are occupying the advantageous location of the new urban development main axis.(3)At the macro level, the spatial expansion direction of bank branches is mainly affected by the direction of urban development, and also affected by the original distribution pattern, showing path dependence.(4)At the micro level, the influence of commercial factors on the spatial layout of bank branches is gradually increasing, among which the office building has the most significant influence, followed by population density, bus station and catering service, etc.Tourist attractions have a negative influence on the spatial distribution of bank branches.Based on the analysis results, the optimization strategy of bank network layout is proposed.
