"Forever Young":Value of Bob Dylan's Song Picture Books in the Children Ethical Education
In the context of media convergence,the appropriate selection of songs and picture books is benefi-cial for children to preliminarily shape their moral characters and explore their ethical identity.The song"Forever Young"by Bob Dylan,winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature,expresses his expectations that children should de-velop the moral qualities of friendliness,equality and integrity.The corresponding picture book,integrating music,painting and lyrics seamlessly,not only enables children to learn the ethical values conveyed by the song while be-ing exposed to the painting art,but also highlights the importance of children's ethical identity.By showing the pro-cess of children's ethical identity construction,the picture book primarily facilitates the exploration of children's ethical identity formation,guiding them to contemplate what constitutes a social ethical identity,and thereby assist-ing them in calibrating their own ethical position.Using the picture books according to the different teaching con-text,helps children to elevate their understanding of various ethical qualities from the phonetic level to the semantic level,then gradually internalize these qualities at the conceptual level,so as to guide them to maintain a pure,kind,and"childlike"heart,thus laying a good foundation for them to enter society when they grow up.
