The Association Between Anxiety Sensitivity and Adolescents'Post-traumatic Stress Symptoms:The Effects of Rumination and Post-traumatic Cognition
In order to explore the relationship among anxiety sensitivity and adolescents'post-traumatic stress symptoms as well as its underlying mechanism,a sample of 390 adolescents was recruited in this study to complete Anxiety Sensitivity Index-3,Ruminative Responses Scale,a short-form of the Child Post-traumatic Cognition In-ventory,Children's Revised Impact of Event Scale. Results showed as follows:(1)Anxiety sensitivity positively predicted the post-traumatic stress symptoms of adolescents.(2)Rumination and post-traumatic cognition mediated the association between anxiety sensitivity and post-traumatic stress symptoms, and this mediating effect contained three mediating paths:The independent mediation effects of rumination and post-traumatic stress symptoms, and the chained mediation effects of rumination and post-traumatic cognition. The results suggested that anxiety sensi-tivity could influence adolescents'post-traumatic stress symptoms through the mediating roles of rumination and post-traumatic cognition.
