According to diary records of literati, most of Wang Chuanshan's works were selected and com-piled in Collection of Ancient Poems of Yuanxiang and were also printed twice in Left-behind Works of Wang Ch-uanshan,thus ensuring the widespread dissemination of Wang Chuanshan's thought.Simultaneously,it was found in diaries that the folk worship of Wang Chuanshan became increasingly popular in late Qing Dynasty, laying the foundation for his list in the Confucian Temple. In 1876,Guo Songtao proposed formally to the list of Wang Chuan-shan in the Confucius Temple, and Wang finally entered the temple in 1908.It went through a 30-year-long debate, during which the tortuous process mapped the political and cultural transformation during the years of Emperor-Tongzhi and Emperor Guangxu, which also had an important impact on Wang Chuanshan's canonization.
