Optimization of proportion design of permeable asphalt mixture for sponge city pavement considering permeability coefficient
Different from ordinary urban pavements, sponge urban pavements have higher requirements on the permeability of permeable asphalt mixture. In order to improve the pavement performance of permeable asphalt mixture, the optimization research on the proportion design of permeable asphalt mixture of sponge urban pavements considering the permeability coefficient is put forward. With modified asphalt, limestone macadam,machine-made sand, mineral powder filler, polyester fiber and basalt fiber as raw materials, the target porosity is determined according to the primary and secondary relationship between the bearing capacity of sponge urban pavement and water permeability coefficient under three design gradations of asphalt mixture, and it is found that the design gradation 3 is consistent with the target porosity through actual measurement.Through Schellenberg asphalt seepage experiment and Cantabro scattering experiment, the optimum asphalt content is determined. The test results show that under the design gradation 3,when the porosity is 18.058%and the optimum asphalt content is 4.95%,the permeability coefficient of asphalt mixture is above 800 mL/15 s,which meets the specification requirements of sponge city pavement.
