The Public Foreign Languages"Multilingual+"Courses and Teaching in Colleges and Universities—Based on the Investigation and Analysis of 25 Universities in Hunan
At present,the practical investigation of teaching reform in colleges and universities is only limited to professional foreign language colleges,high-level colleges and universities in border and coastal areas.There is a lack of a universal investigation covering all levels and categories of colleges and universities.Therefore,it is an urgent task to investigate and analyze the current teaching situation of public foreign language"multilingual+"courses in various colleges and universities,and further explore the feasible scheme of educational reform on the basis of data.This article adopts a combination of questionnaire survey and interviews to conduct research on teachers and students from 25 universities in Hunan.The levels of participating universities in the survey include"Double First-Class"universities,non-"Double First-Class"public universities,private universities,vocational and technical colleges,etc.The types of universities include comprehensive universities;engineering,medical,agricultural and forestry universities.Finally,the article analyzes and elaborates on the research results,summarizes the experience and shortcomings of current multilingual education practices in various universities.And based on this,we explore the specific implementation path of the"multilingual+"teaching reform of public foreign languages in Chinese universities.
