Comprehensive Experimental Design on Preparation and Performance of Compact-siro Spun Pure Cotton Yarn
Comprehensive experiment is an indispensable practice supplement and expansion link of major course.Herein,the advance knowledge of compact-siro spinning is introduced into the experimental teaching.To improve the comprehensive understanding of novel ring spinning technology for textile engineering under-graduates,a comprehensive experiment of preparation and performance of compact-siro spun pure cotton yarn is designed.As a typical case,the effect of dislocation direction on yarn structure and performance is investi-gated,and the students can have a deeper understanding of structure-activity relationship of such yarn.It is found that the dislocation direction and twist direction are two key influencing factors needed to be consid-ered when spinning such yarns.Through the comprehensive experimental design,the students can not only learn more about the frontier hotspots in the field of compact-siro spinning,but also remarkably enhance the comprehensive abilities of student such as experimental operation skills,experimental design,data processing and analysis.In addition,the innovative consciousness of college students can be exercised as well.
