Mediating Effects of Mutuality Between Anxiety and Quality of Life in Stroke Patients
Objective To explore the mediating effects of mutuality between anxiety and quality of life among stroke patients. Methods A total of 223 stroke patients who were hospitalized in a grade A tertiary hospital in Henan province were selected by convenience sampling method from June to September 2022.The mutuality scale, generalized anxiety disorder scale and the stroke specific auality of life scale were adopted for investigation.SPSS 26.0 software was used for Spearman correlation analysis, and the Model 4 of Process(v4.1)was selected for mediating effect analysis. Results The quality of life of stroke patients was negatively correlated with anxiety(r=-0.665,P<0.001)and posi-tively correlated with mutuality(r=0.817,P<0.001);the mediating effects of mutuality on the relationship between anxiety and quality of life in stroke patients was-0.535,accounting for 83.20%of the total effects. Conclusion The mutuality plays a partial mediating role on the relationship between anxiety and quality of life among stroke patients.Medical personnel can implement intervention strategies centered on mutuality to promote the physical and mental health of stroke patients.
