Clinical and Pathological Features of Patients with Mycobacterium Tuberculosis Positive in Pathological Tissue
Objective To investigate the clinical and pathological features of patients with Mycobacterium tubercu-losis(MTB)positive in pathological tissues, and provide reference for the diagnosis of suspected tuberculosis patients. Methods The clinical and pathological data of 1130 patients with suspected MTB infection in author's department from January 2020 to October 2022 were retrospectively analyzed, and 235 patients with MTB infection were diagnosed by au-ramine O fluorescence staining and molecular biological, correlation among gender, age, tissue type, specimen type, pathological features and MTB positive in pathological tissues was analyzed. Results Among pathological tissues in 235 patients with MTB positive, there were 164 male patients accounted for 69.79%and 71 female patients accounted for 30.21%,the proportion of male patients were higher than female patients;there were 3 juvenile patients accounted for 1.28%and 232 adult patients accounted for 98.72%,most of the patients were adults.Among 235 patients with MTB positive, the three most common pathologic tissues were lung tissuse(107 cases,45.53%),lymph nodes tissuse(37 ca-ses,15.74%)and bone and joint tissuse(25 cases,10.64%).The positive rate of MTB of surgical specimen was 50.64%,significantly higher than that of puncture specimen, which was 49.36%(x2=9.993,P=0.002).The positive rate of MTB of granulomatous lesion specimen was 84.68%,significantly higher than that of non-granulomatous lesion specimen, which was 15.32%(x2=29.510,P<0.001).Conclusion For patients with histopathological MTB infection, male, adult, lung, lymph node and bone and joint tissues are helpful for the histopathological diagnosis of tuberculosis;the positive rate of MTB in surgical specimens was higher than that in puncture specimens, and the positive rate of MTB in granulomatous lesions was higher than that in non-granulomatous lesions.
